Camp Drop-off and Pick-up Information

Anything you may need for spending the night: toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, medications, towels and blanket or sleeping bag, and a bathing suit for underwater vaulting and water activities.  You may want to bring extra money in case you want to buy any extra items (drinks or snacks).  Bring your own tape, chalk, spikes, and poles.  It is to your advantage for us to see you on your own equipment. Method for flexing your poles will be explained and provided to help you understand the process for determining pole selection. Poles and other items may be provided, but weights and sizes may vary from each individual’s own pole.

Why Attend the Camp?

From beginners to elite vaulters, there is always room for improvement and always room for suggestion.  Our club was established to help any level vaulter to soar to new heights.  We hope we can motivate you on your journey to success!!!

Camp Information

To attend the camp you must be a USATF member and fill out a release form.  The cost of the camp is $325.00 and includes sleeping accommodations, three meals per day, and three days full of activities to improve your Pole Vaulting skills. One T-Shirt per athlete will be provided but if you would like to purchase extra shirts make sure and let us know. Extra shirts are $15.00.

Elite Vaulter History

In the summer of 2001, Glen Dickson started teaching athletes from all over Texas the basics and beyond about pole vaulting.  Over the years the coaching expanded into what is now a club and camp facility dedicated to the  instruction of the Pole Vault.  In 2009, with four years of high school experience and four years of collegiate vaulting under her belt, Brookelyn Dickson became a full time Pole Vault Coach and Personal Trainer.

Programs Provided

If you choose to join us at the Elite Vaulter Sports Complex there will be many opportunities for you to achieve a better understanding about the sport of Pole Vaulting with Coach Glen Dickson and Coach Brookelyn Dickson.  Through rain or shine, the vaulting will continue.  The outside pit offers a cool breeze and usual tail wind, while the indoor pit offers shade and protection from strong winds or rain.  Both morning and evening sessions provide a wide range of activities to improve technique which include vaulting, vaulting drills, video sessions, movies, strength and speed testing, ropes, high bar, and rings.  Mid-afternoon session includes underwater vaulting, swimming, knee boarding, water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, and other recreational activities.

Housing and Meals

Accommodations will be made for the athletes to sleep at the sports complex with supervision provided by camp staff.   Meals are included and will be provided either at the sports complex or at a local restaurant (transportation included).

Remember participation in the camp is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Send $100.00 deposit or payment in full $325.00 with registration form to:
